The Principal
Ms. Deeksha Thomas, the Headmistress of Santa Maria Integrated Learning Environment, is an educator who has been a member of the Santa Maria family for more than two decades.
Ms. Thomas holds a graduate degree from Delhi University . She has done Post Graduation from IGNOU ( M.A. in Counselling Psychology) and a diploma in Early Childhood Teacher Training from The Polytechnic for Women, New Delhi.
Ms. Thomas brings a wealth of knowledge in nurturing children across the nursery and primary age groups. Her dedication to innovative teaching practices was highlighted when she was selected to be part of the prestigious UKERI teacher exchange program of the British Council, where she visited England to study British practices in early childhood education.
Ms. Thomas has written and published a series of very popular activity books for nursery and primary classes for Madhuban Publishers. Her personal interests in poetry, short story writing, folk art, and music fuel her engaging classroom presence and inspiring storytelling sessions that captivate young children. Her love for travel is enhanced by her interest in Indian history and culture which in turn enriches her perspective on education.
Ms. Thomas leads a passionate and hardworking team of teachers and support staff at the Integrated learning environment of Santa Maria.
